Temply

Write the email. We handle the HTML.

Temply is a block editor for transactional email. Your team builds templates in a workspace. Your app pulls the finished HTML through an API.

Next.js · Elysia · PostgreSQL

How it works

3 steps
  1. 01

    Build.

Drag headings, text, images, buttons and dividers into place. No code is needed.

  2. 02

    Brand.

Set your colours and font once. Every template in the workspace shares them.

  3. 03

    Render.

Your app posts its data. Temply sends back finished HTML, a plain-text version and the template version.

What you get

Open source
  • A drag and drop editor

Anyone on the team can change an email without a deploy or a pull request.

  • Brands and themes

Change a colour once and every template that uses the brand follows.

  • Merge fields

Write {{name}} where a value goes. Give it a fallback for when your app sends nothing.

  • A render API

One request returns the finished HTML and a plain-text version.

  • Versioned templates

Each render says which version of the template it used.

  • Your data stays with you

Templates and brands live in your own PostgreSQL. Nothing leaves your servers.
